Founded in 2021 by ABG’s Head of Biotech Private Equity, Dr. Andrew Lam, together with other industry leaders, Life Science Sherpas was created to rebuild professional connections disrupted by the pandemic. It convenes senior professionals from across the life sciences ecosystem — biotech, pharma, investors, investment banking, research, and law — in settings built for substantive conversation. Events are held in New York, Boston, London, San Diego, and San Francisco.

The Boone Fellowship honors the late Thomas “Tom” Charles Boone, a longtime ABG advisor and friend. Over 28 years at Amgen, Tom rose to Vice President of Protein Science, helping shape antibody engineering in its earliest days and contributing to the development of several life-saving therapies. Established in 2025, the Fellowship carries his legacy forward through hands-on experience and mentorship alongside ABG’s biotech investment team.

Founded in 2018, the Hong Kong Life Sciences Society is a non-profit dedicated to building a life sciences and biotechnology ecosystem in Hong Kong, attracting and developing young talent through mentorship, internships, conferences, and knowledge exchange. ABG Founder, Frank Yu serves on its Advisory Board.
